Hello Dr. Hawkins,
I feel like Rob and I had our honeymoon in Paulsbo (I told him yesterday and again this a.m. that I wished it was our wedding day today because I would have loved so much to have gotten married feeling so close (I’ll settle for (with continued work) a marriage feeling so close). I feel like my husband and I fell in love all over again (not intended to sound cheesy:).
I just couldn’t have imagined how that would happen given the feelings and the fights and the yelling that had so come to characterize our relationship. At the end of the ‘foreward’ in the book you so kindly gave us, you end by saying that you hope to be a good steward of the gifts He’s given you (you were much more eloquent:). I can’t imagine how blessed you must feel and honoured you must be to help God mend, heal, and bring back love to the sacrament of marriage. We’ve been speaking to one another today, using the tools and words you’ve taught us.
Thank you for sharing your gifts and giving us gifts that we can use to keep our marriage healthy, strong and the way God intended. I look forward to sharing this information and passing along hope as I come across friends and family members who feel like things in their marriage may never change. As you know, family is the foundation of this world. Thank you for strengthening and with His gifts, saving families.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Claudelle & Rob
