After 25 years of service in the military, Dr. Hudson proceeded into a counseling private practice, while also teaching part-time for colleges and universities. He later accepted a position at the Veteran Affairs Hospital, followed by working as the Clinical Practice Manager for the Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System. Since then, John has moved to Missouri and practiced marriage & family therapy.
Dr. Hudson enjoys working with individuals and couples who recognize the value of counseling and how it can facilitate better living, relationships, and personal spiritual growth. His approach to therapy is brief and solution-focused and emphasizes the strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences of the client through a collaborative model.
John spends his spare time with his family and a few personal hobbies. He has been married to his wife, Lori, for over 38 years. They have seven wonderful children and seven grandchildren. They are very active in their church and the local community. They also love hosting individuals and families traveling from abroad or missionaries on furlough.
